  • The American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) currently acknowledges over 80 known sleep disorders. In the United States alone an estimated 18 million people suffer from a single common disorder known as Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). While it is popular belief that it affects only over-weight individuals, anyone of can be plagued with OSA. It is true that men are more prone to sleep apnea due to anatomy; however, women with sleep apnea often go undiagnosted due to thier contributing the tiredness to female-specific conditions (pregnancy, midnight breast-feeding, hotflashes).

Feeling and being tired all the time isn't normal. Often the problems are treatable through therapy and behavior modification, but you have to take that first step:

Talk to your doctor - tell them how you feel.
